Database and Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
Databases come in many forms and are used for various reasons.
Primarily they are used for the storage and manipulation of data records. It is important a database is designed properly and provides you with access to relevant and accurate information. Correct design is essential in achieving the desired results and it is important to invest the time into the principles of a good design process. The design process should include these steps:
determine the expected use of the database
collate all the information which will be required
organise the information into tables
the information should then be turned into fields and columns
primary keys specific to the data should be established
set relationships between the tables
analyse the tables and relationships for errors
Once a logically designed database is constructed it should provide easy input and collation of accurate information.
